ANSYS Startup Program
The ANSYS Startup Program gives you full access to simulation software bundles that are built and priced to help entrepreneurs grow their business quickly and cost-effectively. We realize that in the early stages of starting a business there is often limited funding and little to no revenue. We created this program to help you grow your business to its full potential using the best tools possible — ANSYS simulation solutions — with a minimal initial investment. Many of the world’s greatest companies began as startups and ANSYS is committed to partnering with today’s startups to help them grow into tomorrow’s industry leaders.
As a partner in the Startup Program, you will gain instant access to ANSYS solutions so you can start building virtual prototypes of your new products. These virtual prototypes can be modified and tested with simulation hundreds of times in the same time it would take to build and test one physical prototype –saving you time and money as you work to perfect your product design. The partnership gives you access to our full portfolio of multiphysics simulation bundles, including the Structural and Fluids bundle, the Electromagnetics bundle and the Embedded Software bundle. Additional benefits include marketing opportunities with ANSYS and access to our Customer Portal for self-guided support, technical requests and more.
Regardless of whether you are an individual startup, an incubator working with a variety of startups, or another key participant in the ecosystem, find out below how ANSYS can benefit you.

PLD Space Leverages ANSYS Startup Program
PLD Space, an aerospace startup in Spain is leveraging tools acquired through the ANSYS Startup Program to develop small satellite launchers. ANSYS simulation software is helping them hit development timelines, reduce costs and ensure that ideas will work. PLD Space started with ANSYS as a young company, leveraging the software to help them grow and plans to continue to have a strong collaboration with ANSYS into the future.Watch Video
Vector, a business startup, is addressing the small spacecraft market for launch vehicles. Because everything must shrink down when you are creating a nanosatellite launcher, engineers were challenged to scale everything while optimizing for a smaller class of payload. They leveraged ANSYS for all of the various fluid flows of the rocket engine including analysis of hot combustion gases in the engine as well as the various cold cryogenic liquids flowing into the engine to understand how they interact with the materials around them.Watch Video
ARC aims to democratize space by providing more affordable and reliable propulsion solutions, using 3D printing technology to create rocket engines in one-tenth the time and at half the cost of traditional methods. ANSYS software is used to deliver the most accurate and valuable data to modify and develop their technology in a more efficient manner.View Case Study
Autorient targets solutions for positioning and control of autonomous machines, robots and vehicles. Reducing the size and improving the performance of the measurement system are necessary to compete in this market. Read this case study to learn how modeling and simulation can provide a full understanding of the behavior and the mechanical, thermal and electrical properties of these systems.View Case Study
Polytenna Technologies Inc. is revolutionizing millimeter-wave antennas by making them out of plastics. Engineers used ANSYS HFSS to realize complicated EM structures and predict antenna performance, which can be degraded significantly at these high frequencies. The company saved time and money in terms of personnel resources but also in cost savings due to less re-work.View Case Study
Edisun, a business startup, leveraged software accessible through the ANSYS Startup Program to design and test their first product, PV Booster. PV Booster is the only dual-axis rooftop tracker for the commercial and industrial market providing 20% better economics on your installation by making more efficient use of solar panels. ANSYS software allowed Edisun to speed through design cycles, shorten their time to marked, and work very efficiently.Watch Video
General Fusion has built a world-class Magnetized Target Fusion research and development team consisting of over 50 research and development professionals who have demonstrated the ability to quickly and cost-effectively design, simulate, prototype and test advanced fusion systems.View Case Study
Bioana is dedicated to the design and development of medical technology. Before a medical device can be implanted in a patient, testing must be done to discover its life span of the device, the best choice of material for fabrication, the stresses it must withstand, etc. With simulation, several devices can be tested simultaneously and refined to create an optimized solution.View Case Study
HuMoTech engineers used ANSYS Mechanical to achieve a 25 percent weight reduction of the prosthesis end-effector, which allows their device to more accurately emulate a wider range of prosthetic devices. This reduces the design and testing time of prosthetic devices and results in a better fit, which improves the patient’s quality of life, while helping clinicians and researchers to be more effective.View Case Study
Read this case study to learn how CerebroScope® used ANSYS Electronics Desktop to develop a prototype of their CerebroPatch™, which can be used to detect these CSDs through the scalp so preventive measures can be taken to minimize the damage done by CSDs. Simulation reduced their design time by 75 percent compared to experimental methods, so they could start clinical trials sooner.View Case Study
Auto Drive Solutions
Auto Drive Solutions is a startup company in Madrid, Spain, focused on disruptive radar positioning systems that are accurate to within 1 cm for railroad and automobile applications. They are using ANSYS SCADE to develop secure and accurate software that meets safety integrity level 4 (SIL 4) certification. SCADE is being used to handle software certification so they can focus on developing the best product with a high return on investment.Watch Video
Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI)
Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI), is built to commercialize clean technologies and provide technical resources for startups. LACI's partnership with the ANSYS Startup Program gives their startups huge value by providing access to ANSYS simulation tools onsite. This allows their startups to save time, reduce risks around making changes, and accelerate their product development process while saving them money.Watch Video
Safespill Systems produces a modular hollow aluminum floor system, with a perforated top surface, that contains spilled liquids and pumps them into designated containment. Using ANSYS Mechanical simulations enabled Safespill engineers to test multiple iterations computationally and ultimately develop a product capable of generating compression forces 75 percent greater than the initial design.View Case Study
