Ansys Discovery 2025 R2 introduces powerful new features that expand simulation capabilities, streamline early validation, and make real-time guidance accessible directly within the design environment. This release strengthens Discovery’s core pillars, physics coverage, ease of use, and accelerated design exploration, with significant enhancements in structural simulation, fluids meshing, and AI integration.
With Ansys Discovery 2025 R2, simulation becomes even more intuitive and robust. The introduction of random vibration enables engineers to assess structural reliability under dynamic and uncertain loading conditions early in the design phase. Fluid simulation workflows are elevated with body of influence and sharp edge capture meshing, delivering greater accuracy in regions with complex flow behavior. Structural simulations benefit from refined default settings that simplify setup and reduce failure rates, ensuring more reliable results from the outset. Additionally, enhanced transfer to Ansys Mechanical allows seamless handoff for advanced analysis, improving collaboration between design and simulation teams.
This release also debuts the Ansys Engineering Copilot, a first-of-its-kind in-product AI assistant. Copilot provides real-time answers to questions about workflows, physics, and tool usage, enabling faster learning, more intelligent decisions, and uninterrupted productivity within the Discovery environment.
