Predicting EV Range using Virtual Drive Test
The range of the electric vehicle is dependent on the vehicle architecture including battery and motor design, the driving scenario, environmental and weather conditions. The accurate estimation of electric vehicle range needs to incorporate all the above factors by integrating a high-fidelity plant model with the driving scenarios. This demo outlines how the Ansys simulation environment allows plant representation to be integrated with the real driving conditions for range estimation of electric vehicles. This enables OEMs to perform early-stage virtual validation and achieve faster time to market.
