Ansys 2026 R1: Ansys SimAI What’s New

Overview

Ansys SimAI 2026 R1 marks a significant milestone in AI‑powered engineering, introducing a refined product structure and major capability enhancements across the SimAI portfolio. In this release, the former Ansys SimAI offering is renamed Ansys SimAI™ Premium SaaS, continuing as the full‑featured, cloud‑enabled solution for large‑scale AI training and full 3D field prediction.

Complementing Premium SaaS, Ansys introduces Ansys SimAI™ Pro, a new desktop-based entry point that brings AI‑powered prediction to simulation engineers without requiring cloud resources or machine learning expertise. Running directly on a local workstation GPU, Ansys SimAI Pro is optimized for rapid, early-stage design exploration. Its capabilities reflect the computational constraints of desktop hardware, and at this stage it is restricted to predicting physical behavior on the surface of the geometry. As users’ needs grow, they can seamlessly upgrade to Ansys SimAI Premium SaaS for scalable computation and full 3D field prediction.

Ansys SimAI Premium SaaS in 2026 R1 also delivers substantial enhancements in model building, data handling, and user experience. New optimization features expanded support for scalar and global training targets, and improved post-processing workflows provide greater modeling flexibility. Meanwhile, significantly enhanced data‑handling pipelines enable training on extremely large simulation datasets—scaling beyond 15 terabytes. UI and user‑management updates further strengthen usability, transparency, and team collaboration.

Together, these updates reinforce Ansys SimAI as a scalable, end‑to‑end AI platform that supports engineers from first adoption through enterprise deployment—accelerating insight, improving design decisions, and embedding AI seamlessly into everyday simulation workflows.
