Ansys Mechanical Advanced Connections (Self-paced Learning Available)

Course Overview

Learn the skills necessary to implement advanced connections features that are vital for the accurate representation of many complex real-world physical phenomena. Utilize sophisticated debugging tools to quickly diagnose convergence and initial contact condition issues.

Prerequisites

Teaching Method

Lectures and hands-on workshops to give you the knowledge and confidence you will need to apply to your own designs.

Learning Outcome

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Describe the underlying technology and control the solution algorithms used to implement surface-to-surface contact in Ansys Mechanical.
  • Recognize and correct the most common causes of non-convergence in contact solutions.
  • Apply the Bolt Pretension load to accurately model preloaded fasteners.
