Thermal-Stress Field Analysis of a Casing in a Heavy-Oil Recovery Well
According to the result of the simulation of temperature field of heavy-oil recovery well, we coupled the temperature field to the structure model of three-dimension finite element. The depth of the model is 50m from the ground surface, and then analyzed the finite element thermal stresses in the casing, cement and formation. The paper studied the equivalent thermal stresses in cement and inner-outer casing in detail with the coupled method of ANSYS software. The maximum thermal stress took place at 3.1432m from the ground surface, and the maximum thermal stress was 698.666MPa here. The paper provides the casing grade that can undergo the minimum yield strength and limit strength for satisfying the thermodynamic parameters, and provides the quantity theory support for strength design of casing string in thermal recovery well.
