Numerical Analysis of the Small Spacing Tunnel of the Guangzhou Metro
The structural design and construction process of the small spacing tunnel in the No. 2 line of the Guangzhou Metro have been simulated and analyzed by means of ANSYS Version 5.6 FEM program in this paper. The ground settlement and variation of internal forces of support structure induced by excavation of strata during tunnel driving have been obtained. The small spacing tunnel has been successfully driven according to the numerical results, and the ground subsidence is also controlled within the limited value so as to protect the safety of buildings on the ground, it has also provided scientific basis and technical guide for the construction of the small spacing tunnel in the urban metro.
