Ansys CFX Rotating Machinery Modeling

Course Overview

Flows within rotating systems occur frequently in science and engineering applications, from turbochargers to gas turbine engines to mixing tanks and wind turbines and numerous others.  Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) now plays a central role in the design and analysis of these systems.

In this course, you will learn the major classes of rotating machinery problems, steady state and transient simulation methods and the details of conducting accurate simulations of rotating machinery systems using Ansys CFX. You must have experience running Ansys CFX for the training to be effective.

Prerequisites

  • A technical education and background in fluid mechanics is recommended but not mandatory. An engineering degree is not required.
  • Completion of the CFX Getting Started course is required.
  • Experience with Ansys  CFX is strongly recommended.

Target Audience:

Thermal Engineers and Aerodynamics Engineers

Teaching Method:

Lectures and computer practical sessions to validate acquired knowledge. A training certificate is provided to all attendees who complete the course.
