Overview

This course explains how to design parabolic surface, aspheric lens from polynomial or automatic definition (for compact LED projector module, Fresnel Lens, etc.) and Total Internal Reflection lens.

Learning Outcome

Following the completion of this course, you will be able to:

 

  • Design Parabolic Surfaces, Total Internal Reflection and Projection lenses

  • Modify and validate simple optical parts.

Prerequisites

  • A working knowledge of NX

  • Completion of ANSYS SPEOS for NX Getting Started.

Target Audience: Optical or mechanical engineers and designers for automotive or lighting industries.

Teaching Method: Lectures and computer practical sessions to validate acquired knowledge.
