This workshop will give you background information as well as a practical application on the scripting interface, Including:​

  • Introduction to scripting in ACP​
  • What can be scripted in ACP​
  • The Scripting shell​
  • Serialization​
  • ACP GUI Tree​
  • Further information

Prerequisites

  • Completion of Ansys Composite PrepPost (ACP) is strongly advised
  • Prior knowledge of Python is of benefit but not a necessity.​
  • When scripting in ACP, it is recommended to use a source code editor such as Notepad++ or Visual Studio Code.

Learning Outcome

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Use the Scripting Tool.
  • Understand how the tool can be used to automate the pre and post processing of composites.
  • Understand how the ACP model tree is accessed and modified by scripting.
  • Understand the model database structure.
  • How to generate a failure plot, modify contour plots and create Envelope Solution. 
  • How to include additional Python Modules.
