Course Overview

This course explains how to design parabolic surface, aspheric lens from polynomial or automatic definition (for compact LED projector module, etc.) and Total Internal Reflection lens.

Prerequisites

  • The completion of Ansys Speos Getting Started.

Target Audience 

Optical or mechanical engineers and designers for automotive or lighting industries.

Teaching Method

Lectures and computer practical sessions to validate acquired knowledge.

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Design and validate simple optical parts such as Parabolic Surface, TIR (Total Internal Reflection) and Projection lenses.
