Ansys Motor-CAD: NVH Analysis (Self-paced Learning Available)

Course Overview

An introduction to electric motor noise, vibration and harshness (E-NVH) with Motor-CAD, covering an introduction to the principles and the use of Motor-CAD to predict and reduce motor noise.

Prerequisites

  • License for <<<Ansys Motor-CAD 2022R1 (Motor-CAD v15.1.3 or later)>>> is required to follow along with this video tutorial.
  • It is recommended that participants have basic familiarity with the modelling of a brushless permanent magnet machine before moving onto this additional training content.

Target Audience

Motor Engineers who wish to learn how to use Motor-CAD to understand motor noise issues, and NVH engineers who wish to understand the causes and characteristics of motor noise.

Teaching Method

This is a self-paced course containing six short video tutorials.

Learning Outcome

Following completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Predict and improve motor noise with Motor-CAD.
  • Use Motor-CAD's NVH prediction capability and start to experiment using your own designs and design variations.
