Analysis of Structural Plastics for Users of ANSYS Mechanical


This training course is available to ANSYS users. ANSYS, Inc. has partnered with Axel Products, Inc. to offer this testing and analysis course that covers material testing, material modeling and finite element analysis of structural plastics such as Polyethylene (PE), Polypropylene (PP), Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) etc.

Students will perform laboratory tests on material samples and then learn how to use the test data in their analysis using ANSYS Mechanical.

  • A technical education and background but an engineering degree is not required.
  • Completion of the Introduction to ANSYS Mechanical course is required.
  • Experience with ANSYS Mechanical is recommended.

Target Audience: Engineers and Designers

Teaching Method: Lectures and computer practical sessions to validate acquired knowledge. A training certificate is provided to all attendees who complete the course.
