Introduction to ANSYS Polyflow for Extrusion
Overview
The primary goal of this course is to cover the basics of using the ANSYS Polyflow user environment. Students will learn the details of how to use the modeling capabilities and move through the simulation process by completing hands-on exercises. The exercises focus onapplications such as polymer extrusion, inverse extrusion and co-extrusion.
Learning Outcome
Following completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Understand the procedure of simple extrusion problems using ANSYS Polyflow
- Learn how to use the most important functions of ANSYS Polyflow
Prerequisites
- A technical education and background in fluid mechanics is recommended but not mandatory but an engineering degree is not required.
- This course is designed for clients who have little to no experience with ANSYS Polyflow
Target Audience: R&D teams to design and optimize processes such as thermoforming, blow molding and glass forming. Design engineers to reduce thickness variation to improve the quality of thermoformed or blown products.
Teaching Method: Lectures and computer practical sessions to validate acquired knowledge.
Learning Options: Training materials for this course are available with a ANSYS Learning Hub Subscription. If there is no active public schedule available, private training can be arranged. Please contact us.
