ANSYS Fluent Meshing with Fault-Tolerant Meshing (FTM) Workflow (Self-paced Learning Available)

Overview

The objective of this self-paced video course is to provide instruction on the use of the Fault-Tolerant Meshing (FTM) guided workflow in ANSYS Fluent Meshing. Instructor demonstration videos teach trainees the skills needed to use the FTM workflow to generate high quality meshes for CFD simulation when working with faulty, imperfect CAD geometry.

Learning Outcome

Upon completion of this training course, you will be able to:

  • Create meshes for internal flow and external flow applications using FTM
  • Use any workflow task and identify which tasks are required for any given model
  • Use selected, commonly employed advanced options
  • Use part management for CAD assemblies including its advanced options
  • Create a box shaped porous zone for heat exchanger or filter applications

Prerequisites

This course assumes that you have completed either the Ansys Fluent Meshing with Watertight Geometry or the Ansys Fluent Getting Started (New Fluent Experience) course.  This is to ensure you are familiar with the use of the Workflow tab in Ansys Fluent Meshing and the Ansys Fluent Meshing user interface.

Target Audience: All users of ANSYS Fluent who have completed the prerequisites.

 

Teaching Method: Lectures and computer practical sessions to validate acquired knowledge.

 

Self-paced Learning: Complete a class on your own schedule at your own pace. Scope is equivalent to Instructor led classes. Includes video lecture, workshops and input files.
