ANSYS Fluent Heat Transfer Modeling


This course is designed for existing users of ANSYS Fluent. You will learn and achieve an understanding of the basic theory of the models and computational methods for heat transfer applications. The knowledge gained will enable you to select the most appropriate modelling approaches for your target applications and simulation objectives.

The advanced heat transfer modeling course has several tutorials some will be treated during the course and some others can be worked through after the lectures.


  • A technical education and background is recommended but an engineering degree is not required.
  • Completion of the Introduction to ANSYS Fluent course is required.
  • Experience with ANSYS Fluent is strongly recommended.

Target Audience: Engineers and Designers

Teaching Method: Lectures and computer practical sessions to validate acquired knowledge. A training certificate is provided to all attendees who complete the course.

    • Workshop:Thermal model of headlamp using DO radiation model
    • Natural convection
    • Heat transfer in porous media
    • Workshop: Natural convection and radiation
