Overview

Turbulence often plays a key role in industrial processes. The understanding of turbulence and its related phenomena is important to optimize processes or products. ANSYS is a technology  leader in the area of turbulence modeling, offering a comprehensive suite of the most advanced turbulence model formulations, covering a broad range of flow regimes including even the most complex flows.

This advanced training course on Modeling Turbulent Flows with ANSYS CFD (Fluent and CFX) is designed for existing users of ANSYS CFD (Fluent and CFX) and will cover the various turbulence models and near wall modeling treatments in ANSYS CFD (Fluent and CFX).

Learning Outcome

Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to select the most appropriate turbulence model, depending on their particular application and the required simulation accuracy.

Prerequisites

  • Completion of the ANSYS CFX Getting Started or ANSYS Fluent Getting Started course is required.

  • Experience with ANSYS CFX or ANSYS Fluent is strongly recommended.

Target Audience: Engineers and Designers

Teaching Method: Lectures and computer practical sessions to validate acquired knowledge. A training certificate is provided to all attendees who complete the course.
