How to Create a CFD Mesh Using Fluent Meshing - Part 2 of 5
Fluent Meshing is ANSYS pre-processing tool of choice for Fluent users with large and complex geometries. Part 2 out of 5. Our Formula One type geometry is used to demonstrate Conformal Tessellation whereby the CAD is remeshed directly at import with a pre-specified Size Field file. Such “patch conforming” surface meshing techniques are useful for cleaner CAD geometries where clean-up or fluid extraction has been done in CAD or is unnecessary. Diagnostics tools are used to assess surface mesh validity i.e. connectivity. They are also used to find and fix the few skewed faces which result from patch conforming surface meshing on thin or sharp angle patches.
