ANSYS Magnetic Valve Assembly

This demonstration illustrates the process of using ANSYS EMAG to calculate magnetic torque versus position angle for a magnetic valve assembly. This example will show the complete process, beginning from a CAD assembly progressing to electromagnetic results for various operating positions of the valve. Along the way we will highlight:
  • Creating a parametric model from static CAD data
  • Generating an enclosure volume and a winding body
  • Robust and flexible meshing for an electromagnetic simulation
  • Including nonlinear B-H data to account for material saturation
  • Rapid and robust convergence of the ANSYS solver
  • Intuitive graphical post-processing of electromagnetic results
  • Easy to perform parametric studies
