Ansys medini analyze helps semiconductor manufacturers in the automotive domain with dedicated ISO 26262 support.
A key challenge for complex semiconductor chips is to pass safety and reliability assessments for application in safety and mission-critical systems. Safety standards, such as IEC 61508, ISO 26262, ARP4761, EN 50126 and others, have identified failure mode, effects and diagnostic analysis (FMEDA) as the state-of-the-art method to assess and quantify the failure characteristics of an integrated circuit (IC). With the advent of ISO/PAS 19451 (2016) and the corresponding ISO 26262, Part 11: “Guidelines on application of ISO 26262 to semiconductors” (2018), a detailed approach exists to perform FMEDA in the context of automobile systems. This technical specification document details how ANSYS medini analyze can be used to meet these requirements for semiconductors.
The digital revolution has opened the world to possibility … and vulnerability.
This technical datasheet provides an overview of the features and functionality in Ansys medini analyze.
The safety analysis of electronics systems is a precondition for obtaining necessary certifications, but may consume more than half of the overall development effort. Ansys medini analyze provides aerospace manufacturers of these systems (and their components) with dedicated support for functional safety analysis. Medini analyze customers report up to 55% decreases in both functional safety analysis efforts and time to market. The model-based tool also eliminates inconsistencies in functional safety analysis work products and accelerates the certification process, especially with respect to design changes.
ANSYS VRXPERIENCE eliminates costly and time-consuming NCAP physical testing, ensures vehicles receive 4-star and 5-star safety ratings, delivers the highest level of consumer safety and strengthens consumer trust in the OEM’s brand.
