Industrial Application of the Meshless Morpher RBF Morph to a Motorbike Windshield Optimisation - Application Brief

The aerodynamic optimization of a motorbike windshield is described in this paper. Tools used are the CFD solver Fluent and an embedded morpher "RBF Morph", which is capable to modify the baseline mesh by shape changes through a suite of UDF funcitons. The morpher is based on a meshless approach and can be used both in serial and parallel sessions and allows to manage any kind of mesh elements. Morphing set-up is done inside ANSYS Fluent through a comprehensive GUI.
