Design CMOS Sensor Cameras with Ansys Lumerical & Ansys SPEOS
This webinar highlights how to optimize CMOS image sensor cameras with Ansys Lumerical FDTD, Ansys Lumerical CHARGE and Ansys SPEOS. This interoperability delivers an invaluable workflow for optimizing the efficiency of the camera’s CMOS sensor [PH1] in conjunction with its macroscopic lens and electronics subsystems. As a result, engineers can simulate an entire system, taking into consideration the interplay between the microscopic effects of CMOS image sensors and the rest of system. With the addition of Ansys SPEOS’ capabilities for handling realistic illumination, users can easily construct an accurate view of the final image as recorded by the camera.
The webinar begins with a brief introduction of Lumerical and SPEOS tools. Next, we will provide an overview of the CMOS sensor interoperability workflow available with Ansys 2021 R1, which includes a description of the various types of information that can be shared between Lumerical and SPEOS. Finally, we will provide a detailed demonstration of the workflow that combines the SPEOS lens system (SLS) importer for macroscopic lenses with full external quantum efficiency (EQE) sensor data derived from Ansys Lumerical tools.
