Ansys EMA3D Cable Capabilities and 2021 Updates
This webinar spotlights Ansys EMA3D’s comprehensive solution for robust and efficient design, packaging and routing of cable bundles and harnesses.
Cables are an integral part of electromagnetic and crosstalk problems. Beyond their design, bundling cables together within a harness and properly routing them inside a system, vehicle or aircraft are important factors that affect cable electromagnetic behavior. Due to close proximity, the noise emitted by one cable can easily cause a nearby cable to experience an unwanted disturbance. Additionally, the long length of the cables inside a vehicle or an aircraft act as efficient antennas to transmit or receive unwanted noise. This can cause coupling with other cables and nearby devices and antennas, whereas unwanted received noise from surrounding antennas or devices can cause undesired voltages and currents in a system, thereby resulting in malfunction. This webinar spotlights Ansys EMA3D’s comprehensive solution for robust and efficient design, packaging and routing of cable bundles and harnesses. This empowers engineers to test for real-life operational and laboratory conditions with a wide degree of freedom, including but not limited to design modifications, shielding modifications, routing, packaging and test severity levels.
