ANSYS Discovery SpaceClaim: Latest Updates in ANSYS 2020 R1

March 4, 2020
11 AM EST / 3 PM GMT

ANSYS 2020 R1 introduces exciting new updates for ANSYS Discovery SpaceClaim. This will empower users to perform autoskin operations on open faceted bodies, simplifying the combination of analytic geometry with autoskinned patches during the reverse engineering process. Additionally, Discovery SpaceClaim integrates two new minimal surface lattices to help users create additive manufacturing parts while significantly improving default sizing when shrink wrapping. Another major upgrade helps users export PMBD files, enabling model transfer to various ANSYS applications.

Join us for this free webinar that explores Discovery SpaceClaim’s latest advancements and how you can apply them to create dynamic new products.

Using CFD to Compare Design Ideas for Electronics

April 21, 2020
11 AM EST / 3 PM GMT

Advanced electronics require more power while occupying less space, leading to a need for liquid cooled systems. In this webinar, we will explore designs using ANSYS Discovery simulations to estimate feasible performance ranges and packaging/space requirements. We will also study design trade-offs from an architectural standpoint (size/shape of flow channel or number fins/veins) to determine requirements of associated systems, like pump sizing or cooler capacity. Learn how you can perform a simulated “bench test” on your best design and compare results to your performance goals, such as surface temperatures or time to reach peak temperature in the assembly.

Concept Modeling: Design Exploration for Every Engineer

May 12, 2020
11 AM EST / 3 PM GMT

This webinar will describe how ANSYS Discovery is replacing traditional CAD technologies with direct editing and a modern UI that is fast, easy and intuitive to learn. Discovery can import, repair and modify files from any CAD system, including the native CAD files or the generic files used to share models; it can even combine files from different sources to quickly generate new concepts. Don’t have a CAD file or not sure where to start from scratch? Import laser/light scans of 3D parts or even 2D pictures and create innovative designs. Not sure how your model is going to perform? Discovery’s instantaneous simulation provides real-time engineering insight so you can test its performance virtually without waiting for results.
