10:00 - 11:00 New Fluent Workflows Deep Dive

Learn more about the new Fluent single window workflows, this work shop will discuss the use of the both the watertight CAD workflow and Fault tolerant wrapping workflows. There will also be demonstrations of how each can be used to easily and efficiently pre-process model from CAD to solver.
Improved Workflow for Electric Machine NVH

This workshop will cover the workflow for the analysis of electric machine vibration and acoustics, particularly new features for 2019R1 such as multiple speed sweeps and waterfall plot creation.

Thermal Assessment of Electrical Machines

During the workshop the complete electromagnetic – thermal workflow for Electrical machines will be demonstrated. You will learn how to use ANSYS tools for initial motor design and how to couple Maxwell and Fluent to perform coupled CFD-EM simulation.

Failure - Crack Initiation & Propagation

This workshop is aimed at providing an overview of the fatigue and fracture capabilities in ANSYS. With these tools it is possible to perform a whole life assessment of components from crack initiation, using the ANSYS fatigue module or ANSYS nCode DesignLife, through to total failure due to crack propagation using the ANSYS SMART fracture capability.

This workshop aims to show the different methods typically employed to simulate a bolted connection, with emphasis on the considerations needed to simulate the nonlinear behaviour of a bolted joint assembly.

Learn how to use the Fluent adjoint solver to find the optimal shape of your designs. A demonstration with best practices will be provided along with the newest features of 2019R1.

ANSYS Additive Suite Deep Dive

In this workshop we will explore the capabilities of the latest release of ANSYS Additive Suite 2019 R2. During this workshop you will see a live demonstration of the end to end process in additive manufacturing. From geometry optimisation and part preparation using ANSYS Additive Prep, to a virtual build using ANSYS Additive. We will look at how simulation can help reduce thermal distortions so we can print correctly, the first time.
