Introduction to ANSYS Mechanical for Ocean Loading
This course focuses on practical workshops combined with lecture sessions in order to give advice and useful experience for ocean loads application in Mechanical. The aim is to understand the basic workflow to study submerged or semi-submerged slender structures.
This training course describes analyses with ocean loading in the case of slender bodies.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:
Setup an ocean environment, add waves, current loads
Understand the MAPDL commands used for Ocean Loading analysis
Be familiar with the Offshore extension
Define a pile structure - soil interaction
Use Design Assessment to post process advanced results and combine results
Completion of the Introduction to ANSYS Mechanical course is required.
General familiarity with the Workbench Project Page, Engineering Data and the Mechanical Interface is assumed.
General familiarity with beams models simulation is required
Target Audience: Mechanical Engineers, Design Engineers working on offshore structures applications
Teaching Method: Lectures and computer workshops to give you the knowledge and confidence you will need to apply what you have learned to do your own designs.
