Thermo-mechanical fatigue (TMF) is an engineering challenge across the aviation, power, transportation and electronics industries. In the transportation industry, components like in-cylinder exhaust manifolds and turbochargers see high temperature and mechanical load variations that can lead to thermo-mechanical fatigue.
