Advance Design Technologies' TURBOdesign Suite enables the complete design of all turbomahcinery components from scratch including preliminary design, 3D blade design by using inverse design method, automatic optimization for multi-point, multi-objective and multi-disciplinary applications, casing and volute design and creation of solid models for manufacturing. The 3D inverse design process enables designers to have direct control of the flow field to avoid time-consuming and costly trial and error experiments. Designers can explore large design space quickly and hence arrive at innovative designs with superior performance. Also inverse design based automatic optimization offer many advantages in terms of covering large design space with small number of design parameters and high accuracy surrogate models with relatively small number of parameters.
Our 3D inverse design code TURBOdesign1 can be used inside Ansys Workbench by using TURBOdesignWB. This creates all the links and automatic data transfer from TURBOdesign to different meshing tools for CFD and FEA analysis. Automatic parametric analysis can be done inside workbench. Also if coupled with ANSYS DesignXplorer, it can be used for automatic multi-point/multi-discplinary optimization for single or multiple blade rows.
