ANSYS Fluent Turbulence Modeling


Turbulence often plays a key role in industrial processes. The understanding of turbulence and it’s related phenomena is important to optimize process or products. ANSYS is a technology leader in the area of turbulence modeling, offering a comprehensive suite of the most advanced turbulence model formulations, covering a broad range of flow regimes including even the most complex flows.

This advanced training course on Modeling Turbulent Flows with ANSYS Fluent is designed for existing users of ANSYS Fluent and will cover the various turbulence models and near wall modeling treatments in ANSYS Fluent.


  • Completion of the Introduction to ANSYS Fluent Getting Started course is required.
  • Experience with ANSYS Fluent is strongly recommended.

Target Audience: Engineers and Designers

Teaching Method: Lectures and computer practical sessions to validate acquired knowledge. A training certificate is provided to all attendees who complete the course.

  • Lecture 4:  Near Wall Modeling

  • Lecture 5:  Transition Modeling

  • Workshop 3: Impinging jet

  • Workshop 4: Transitional Flow Around an Airfoil

  • Lecture 6: Second Moment Closure Models

  • Lecture 7: Large Eddy Simulation (LES)
