Mechanical

LS-DYNA

Ansys LS-DYNA is the leader in explicit and multi-physics simulation in the world and can simulate the response of materials to short periods of severe loading. Its many elements, contact formulations, material models and other controls can be used to simulate complex models with control over all the details of the problem. In this track you will learn how Ansys LS-DYNA offers predictive engineering capabilities to an endless list of potential applications in Aerospace, Automotive, Biomechanical, Electronics, consumer products and many more. Sessions covered will showcase how the power of LS-DYNA simulations are deployed for the most safety-critical engineering applications on the earth.

Fluids

Fluids are all around us, and whether solving for the flow of liquid or gas, the transfer of heat or a chemical reaction, Ansys has the best solution. This track will span across some of the most important aspects of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations, starting from generating a high-quality mesh all the way to simulating fluid-structure interaction (FSI). Sessions covered will reveal how you can increase productivity by accelerating simulation setup, solve and post processing times, innovate beyond ways thought possible through industry leading features and get results you can trust using the industries most accurate solvers.

Advanced Manufacturing & Design

Traditional design approaches don’t make the most of new manufacturing methods, like additive manufacturing, which are removing design constraints and opening up new possibilities.  This track explores multiple manufacturable designs in minutes, through a fast and interactive experience to meet design specification, while reducing weight, improving performance, and consolidating parts.  Techniques such as interactive Topology Optimization will be discussed, allowing a design can be modified while the optimization is occurring, and designers can see where a solution is headed, take inspiration from it and make a change to drive the solution in a different direction.

Acoustics & NVH

A product’s sound can either be a source of concern for a product or actually be a product’s brand. Noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) in electric machines can come from many sources and has direct effects of the perceived quality of a product where as a product such as a seatbelt “click” is important to hear for the safety of the passengers that the product is working properly. In this track, we will cover multiphysics NVH workflows and our solution on how you can actually listen to your simulations!

Upfront Simulation

Simulation-driven design involves using simulation early, often, and throughout the design cycle to make better informed decisions, explore more alternatives and verify performance. This track focuses on a strategy of taking a simulation-driven design approach, enabled by engineers, across the design cycle. Presentations will elaborate on the four core sources of value for simulation-driven design: increased productivity and efficiency gains from identifying first-feasible designs; increasing innovation thanks to advanced design exploration; making better decisions earlier by conducting early simulations; and avoiding costly late-stage errors.

Electronics Reliability

Product development and manufacturing is continually driven by demands for smaller components, new and better features, improved warranty rates & costs and more. None of these demands can be met if the product does not meet reliability standards. In this track, we will discuss how implementing simulation early in the design process improves product performances and reduces design cycles and material costs. We will also discuss the latest advances in PCB modeling, highlight how simulation addresses cutting-edge technologies and applications, the benefits of workflow automation, preventing reliability risks and much more.
