Introduction to ANSYS Mechanical Beams and Shells Modeling

Overview

This course is designed for FEA users of ANSYS Mechanical. The learning objectives are to be able to run a Static Structural calculation on a model composed of line and surface bodies. This essentially consists of developing knowledge on the dedicated pre and post processing tools. You will learn how to deal with beams and shells models in ANSYS Mechanical. This course comprises of 2 Modules, the first one is about Beam Modeling, the second one about Shell modeling. In both modules, you’ll learn about theory. You will also review dedicated elements, geometry, connections and post processing tools.

Prerequisites

  • This course is an introductory course to the use of ANSYS Mechanical for Beams and Shells modeling.
  • The Mechanical Getting Started course in a prerequisite.

Target Audience: Engineers and Designers

Teaching Method: Lectures and computer practical sessions to validate acquired knowledge. A training certificate is provided to all attendees who complete the course.
