Once engineers complete the creation and validation of a simulation model, they invariably want to explore the available design space of the model to investigate potential performance improvements. Traditionally, this has been a very arduous process for three reasons: CAE models weren’t robust enough to successfully rebuild far from the baseline design, compute resources were quite constrained, and design search strategies were inefficient and complicated to deploy. HEEDS was built to overcome previous obstacles and make it simple for engineers to use design exploration to discover better designs, faster. Engineers no longer need to sample their design space, build surrogate response surface models, choose complex search algorithms, tune algorithms, or assess fit errors. With HEEDS, an engineer simply defines the virtual prototype and automatically searches the available design space for innovative solutions in a fraction of the time and cost of manual or traditional search techniques.

HEEDS integrates well with all popular modeling and simulation software to automate and expedite design exploration, and it features direct input and output portals for ANSYS Workbench.
