Road freight is a major means of goods transportation, and one that is particularly difficult to make fossil-energy-free. It has been noted that a reduction in fuel consumption can be expected just by reducing the empty weight of the trailer. Therefore, in this webinar, we will focus on reducing the mass of the trailer, which is probably the easiest vehicle design change to implement using Ansys GRANTA EduPack. We will demonstrate how to make smart material selections and how the synthesizer tool in GRANTA EduPack can be used for estimating properties of structural hybrids for truck trailer lightweighting.
