For a long time, engineers have been doing safety analysis to address the functional safety requirements of ISO 26262 with point tools in place to carry out HARA, FHA, FMEA, FMEDA and FTA. The most popular tool is MS Excel, but there are also specific tools like Fault Tree+, PTC Windchill, RAMS Com and IQ FMEA.

Common errors using point tools are due to the lack of traceability, the inability to handle multiple design iterations, the safety analysis not being based on the actual design of the system and the analysis not being model based. Along with these errors, the use of point tools alone is incredibly inefficient, time-consuming and expensive.

Join our webinar to see how Ansys medini analyze enables engineers to meet ISO 26262 safety requirements faster and more efficiently.

Our Ansys expert will cover the following topics:

  • Traceability among all the different work products and artifacts
  • Reduced functional safety time when compared to point tools
  • Handling multiple design iterations
  • Customer testimonials
