ANSYS medini analyze in ANSYS 2020 R1 comes with several innovative new features and improvements, including a new solution for cybersecurity. The cybersecurity software addresses the increasing market needs for systematic analysis and assessment of security threats to cyber-physical systems, starting early in the system design phase. ANSYS medini analyze helps to identify potential target assets in the systems, along with their security attributes and relevant stakeholders.
ANSYS 2020 R1 is our first release in which ANSYS medini analyze comes with built-in features to support the safety analysis of the intended functionality of autonomous systems (autonomous vehicles, air taxis, etc.). It specifically addresses the upcoming ISO 21448 “Road vehicles — Safety of the intended functionality” (SOTIF) standard, including modeling of limitations and weaknesses of system components and the (environmental) conditions that could trigger unwanted behaviors.
Customers in the Aerospace and Defense domain will benefit from support of the Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA). The new FMECA sheet enables the qualitative and quantitative analysis of failure mode criticality as required by MIL-STD-1629A, to name one example.
