In this webinar, we will present a comprehensive electric machine design methodology. Before running sophisticated design studies using electromagnetic (ANSYS Maxwell) and CFD (ANSYS Fluent) physics solvers, we will demonstrate an integrated initial stage design environment to perform fast electromagnetic and thermal simulations to analyze various case studies on selected electric motor topologies at the click of a button.

Thermal analysis of electric machines using ANSYS electromagnetic, thermal and CFD solutions will be outlined using the following examples:

  • Quick and accurate temperature profile prediction from an existing electromagnetic design
  • CFD model creation for a water-cooled permanent magnet motor
  • Tips and tricks on modeling oil-cooled motors
