Mike Rife, Senior Technical Support Engineer
Mike started his analysis career performing super-plastic forming simulations at Barnes Aerospace while attending graduate school at the University of Utah. After several stints at ANSYS resellers, he joined the New Horizons Pluto space probe team at Lockheed Martin Civil Space. There, he completed ground and projectile impact analyses on the probes power source, the Radioisotope Thermoelectric Generator. Additionally, he was the lead mechanical algorithm developer for LASEP-G a Monte-Carlo based accident evaluation program used to quantify & qualify the radioisotope fuel released in the case of an accident. Prior to ANSYS, Mike worked at the ANSYS reseller Mallett Technology in both pre and post sales support.
