Join ANSYS for a free, hands-on “Lunch & Learn” workshop focusing on ANSYS SPEOS, the new flagship optical simulation product. We will discuss how this new standalone simulation platform, coming out in the 2019 R2 release, can be used to address several typical use cases, such as visual appearance, photometric analysis, sensors simulation, head-up displays and many more.
During the hands-on workshop, attendees will learn how to model a lighting system, set up basic simulations and analyze and optimize the results, using a General Lighting use case.
We will discuss new exciting features on this new platform such as Live-Trace or Simulation Preview as well as the possibilities this product opens for Multi-Physics simulations.
The objective of the session is to introduce engineers to the workflows and simulations required to leverage ANSYS SPEOS in the performance of optical design and analysis. Whether you are new to simulation or an existing user in other SPEOS products, this workshop will be valuable to learn about the latest technologies, best practices and what’s coming next for SPEOS.
The workshop will feature the following:
Import of CAD model into ANSYS SPEOS environment
Rapidly create optical design through target-based automation layer, and perform live traces on each geometry update
Utilize the new GPU-based simulation functionality to preview the results within seconds
Assess key optical performance criteria through lighting templates
Optimize the design through the workbench design Xplorer
Please register early to reserve your spot. Lunch will be provided.
