Class Objectives
The course aims to provide attendees with the basic knowledge required to set-up, simulate and analyse problems in HFSS, and to apply this knowledge to modelling their own projects efficiently.
Covers using the Ansoft HFSS Desktop features, creating and manipulating parametric 3D models, and working with different data types. Discusses boundaries and excitations, with an overview focusing on the practical aspects of passive device modelling and how to improve performance and productivity. Includes basic sections on 3D field visualization and high-level and low-level data manipulation.
Prerequisite
This introductory course is designed for users who are new to Ansoft HFSS or the finite element method used in the tool. It is assumed that attendees have a basic knowledge of electromagnetic theory.
