ANSYS RSolve Service and Remote Simulation Facility (RSF) Descriptions and Application
The ANSYS RSolve service extends the ability to execute large parallel simulations on the highly secure Remote Simulation Facility (RSF). This solution has been specifically designed to handle highly sensitive customer data and is optimized for large simulations, and/or the concurrent execution of many simulations such as those found in sensitivity analysis or optimization.
The RSF uses state-of-the-art security and systems infrastructure technology from many of today's leading providers.
ANSYS RSolve
is ideal for users who require occasional "surge" capacity for time critical simulations, or periodic simulations of large models.
ANSYS RSolve assumes the user is a trained ANSYS FLUENT user. Models are created using a "local" ANSYS FLUENT pre-processor,
and case/data files are then uploaded to
ANSYS RSolve
via a web browser.
ANSYS RSolve provides all necessary components to perform the simulations including parameter set-up, solution monitoring, file management, all licenses required to
operate, and access to multiple processors to improve time to completion.
Accounts are provided on an individual user basis, and users are billed
for simulation time only.
Other features of ANSYS RSolve on the RSF include:
- Optimized for the operation of ANSYS FLUENT by ANSYS IT staff
- Managed by ANSYS Support Staff and optimized on high performance Linux Clusters
- Global access to the facility on a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week basis from a desktop browser
- Strict account and file controls including individual accounting and report features
- Full 256 bit data communication encryption
- HTTPS (Secure) access with full SSL technology
- Extremely high quality hardware and software meeting all government and industry standards
- Modular, scalable, reliable, and secure
- Redundant internet connections from multiple sources provide for high availability
- Secure monitoring back office connections
Benefits of ANSYS RSolve on the RSF:
- Quick and efficient access to large computational and ANSYS FLUENT application resources provides fast and predictable results
- Reduced cost when compared to internally hosted alternatives
- Immediate access to new revisions of ANSYS FLUENT
- Access from anywhere in the world enables user collaboration across
geographies, organizational boundaries, and supply chains.
- Easy and intuitive to use from a web browser
- Faster time-to-benefit on applications when compared to internal procurement and implementation
- Provides a basis for cross-organizational standardization
- Higher service levels when compared to internally hosted alternatives
- Improved performance, reliability, and access to ANSYS FLUENT while reducing overall cost
