STL Interface

The STL output interface outputs an STL data file from an ANSYS
ICEM CFD unstructured surface mesh.
Creating the STL Input File
Under the Output menu, go to
Select solver, and select the
STL format. Then select
Write Input.
A window opens to allow the specification of the file to be translated
into the STL format. An existing unstructured domain file representing
a surface mesh must first be selected (3 points triangles or 4 points quadrilateral
elements). In addition, the output interface offers the options
to define the name of the STL file, to shift the mesh into the positive
space, and to select the file format (ASCII or binary). The
default name for the STL file can be modified as necessary.
The interface generates the STL file in the current project
directory.
