The ICEM-CFD/SPLITFLOW translator writes an unstructured surface mesh with boundary conditions in the SPLITFLOW file format.

Creating the SPLITFLOW Input File

The translator writes the SPLITFLOW input file using an unstructured domain file (triangular surface mesh) and its corresponding boundary condition file. To create the SPLITFLOW input file, select the translator "SPLITFLOW" in the "Output" menu. After selecting "Write input" you can specify options for the SPLITFLOW interface:

The interface generates the SPLITFLOW file in current project directory.

Defining boundary conditions for SPLITFLOW

The boundary conditions are defined with use of boundary condition types. These different types are listed in the SPLITFLOW User's Manual. The boundary condition types are assigned to surface families by setting the variables string1 and integer in the "Boundary Conditions" menu. Please refer to the General Remarks section for more details on defining boundary conditions.

By default, all boundary conditions are set to "Adiabatic No-Slip" (type 10) and the reference conditions (u, v, w, p, t ) are set to zero.
