This interface writes a PMarc input file from an ICEM CFD/CAE structured grid.

Creating the PMArc Input File

The translator writes the PMArc geometry file using the structured domain file(s) (domain.1 to domain.n). To create the PMArc input file, select the translator "PMArc" in the "Output" menu from the ICEM CFD/CAE Manager. After clicking "Write output" you can specify options for the PMArc interface: The interface generates the PMArc file located in the Transfer Shell. You may open a shell window in this directory by selecting the menu items "Utility" and "Transform".

If no boundary conditions are defined, the interface will write the geometry for all the selected domain using the default values.
 

Defining boundary conditions for PMArc

The following boundary condition information is supported by the translator:

PATCH TYPE

The translator takes  the family name as the patch name. For meshes generated with P-Cube the translator takes the tagging name from the <name> field.

After selecting a subface, set the following entries:

    2.NR        2.integer        Patch type (IDPAT) (default=2; Body patch)
    3.VALUE     3.real1          Patch reversal flag (default=0; not reversed)
    4.X         4.real2          Nr. of component coord. syst. to which this patch belongs (KCOMP) (default=1)
    5.Y         5.real3          Nr. of assembly coord. syst. to which this patch belongs (KASS) (default=1)

   10.C        10.real8          Nr. of streamwise panels (TNPC) (default = 0)
   11.VALUE    11.real9          Streamwise spacing (TINTC) (default=3, equal spacing)


LIMITATIONS

The following PMArc options are set constant by the interface:
