KIVA-4 Interface

The interface writes the grid and boundary condition information in a KIVA-4 mesh file.

Select solver

Select solver KIVA-4 in the "Select solver" menu.

Boundary conditions for KIVA-4

After generating the mesh, boundary conditions can be defined.   

The interface supports the following Element types on volume parts:

• 0: inactive
• 10: squish (default)
• 11: bowl
• 14: dome
• 20: port 1
• 30: port 2
• 40: port 3
• 50: port 4  

The interface supports the following Cell face identification on surface parts:  

• 10: moving piston crown
• 11: moving bottom surface of 1st valve
• 12: moving top surface of 1st valve
• 13: moving bottom surface of 2nd valve
• 14: moving top surface of 2nd valve
• 15: moving bottom surface of 3rd valve
• 16: moving top surface of 3rd valve
• 17: moving bottom surface of 4th valve
• 18: moving top surface of 4th valve
• 20: solid (default)
• 21: solid face of a cylinder head
• 30: axis
• 40: fluid
• 50: front periodic boundary
• 60: derriere periodic boundary
• 70: inflow
• 80: outflow
• 90: pressure inflow
• 100: pressure outflow 

Write input

The user can write the KIVA-4 mesh file after saving the project.  The KIVA-4 mesh file has the extension .kiva4grid.
