The ICU translator writes a triangular surface mesh for the ICU Electro-chemical solver. The ICU file is written in ASCII and contains the following tables:

• the node coordinates
• the triangle's connectivity and ID number
• the boundary conditions for each ID group

Creating the ICU Input File

The translator writes the ICU input file using an unstructured domain file and its corresponding boundary conditions file. The unstructured domain file may be a 3D-tetrahedral mesh or a 2D-triangular mesh. In both cases the tranlator writes only the triangular elements to the ICU File. To create the ICU input file, "Select solver" → ICU in the "Output" menu. After clicking "Write input " you can specify the following options for the interface:

• select an existing unstructured domain file
• give the name of the boundary condition file
• give the name of the ICU input file
• option to give a scaling factor for each direction (default is 1.0)

The interface generates the ICU grid file in the project directory.

Defining boundary conditions

To define boundary condition click on the "BC" icon in the "Output" menu. Supported boundary conditions are:
