The FLEX translator creates an unstructured grid file in the "Flex File" format. The three-dimensional coordinates are written using the keyword :xyz. For a model composed of three-dimensional elements, face-to-node and face-to-cell connectivites are written under the keyword :connectivity_faces. For surface mesh, the face connectivity is defined with the :front_faces keyword format.
The translator writes the FLEX input file using an unstructured mesh file and its corresponding boundary conditions file. To create the FLEX file, "Select solver" → FLEX in the "Output" menu. After clicking "Write input " you can specify the following options for the interface:
The translator generates automatically the boundary groups. For grids generated with the HEXA-Mesher or the TETRA-Mesher, the external surface families are used directly to create the different boundary groups.
