The ANSYS ICEM-CFD/Attila translator creates the input file necessary to run the Attila solver writing one formatted file, whose default is attila.mesh.

Creating the Attila Input Files

The translator writes the Attila input files using an unstructured domain file and its corresponding
boundary conditions file. To create the Attila input file, select the translator "Attila" from the "Output" menu. After clicking on the "Write input" icon, you can specify options for the Attila interface:

• select an existing unstructured domain file
• specify the mesh output file (.mesh.inp)
• specify the Attila input deck (.inp)
• option to write the Attila input deck
• specify the mesh title
• specify the Attila version number (default is 1.0.0)
• specify the cycle number
• specify the problem time
• specify the units for the problem time (default is s)
• specify the coordinate units for the mesh (default is cm)
• specify the scale factor (default is .1)

The interface generates the Attila files in the project directory.

Limitations

• Functions in this interface to handle header comments and data input have not yet been implemented.
