ANSYS ICEM CFD currently runs on the following hardware. On all machines we recommend at least 256 MB of memory and 350 to 850 MB of free disk space depending on the selected modules, plus additional disk space for user models. For example, for a 1 million element tetra mesh we recommend an extra 100 MB of disk space, and at least 128 MB of memory. We also recommend a 24-bit graphics option whenever possible, although all the modules can run with any X11 display (including X terminals and most PC X servers) with possible reduced performance and graphics quality.
Note that if a hardware configuration does not appear here, this means we have not tested the software on that machine but it may run correctly anyway. If you have successfully used ICEM CFD on a machine not in this list, or have had problems on any hardware configuration, please let us know. The graphics options listed below apply only for native graphics - X11 will run on all graphics hardware we know about.
