The CFX-TASCflow interface translates the output from ANSYS ICEM CFD/CAE to a grid file and a block-off & boundary conditions file according to the CFX-TASCflow Database Interface Version 2.3.1 (May 1994). These output files can be read by all versions of TASCFlow from Verson 2.3.1 to Version 2.10.
Please refer to the General Remarks section for information about boundary condition definition.
By default all subgrids (blocks) are composed of fluid flux elements. To define a blocked-off flux domain, select a block and click on "Additional Blocked-off Flux Elements", in the boundary condition GUI window.
Regions and Subregions:
A nodal region is a list of one or more subregion(s) having the same identification label. A subregion consists of a given range of i, j, k coordinates on a particular subgrid (block or domain). To define a subregion, select an edge, a surface or a block family, then click on "Regions and Subregions" option in the boundary condition GUI window. This opens a field where the subregion label can be defined. The label is currently limited to 5 characters. All subregions with the same label are grouped into the same TASCflow region.
