ANSYS Engineering Knowledge Manager (EKM) 2.0 Released

ANSYS Engineering Knowledge Manager (ANSYS EKM) 2.0, released in early November, is a simulation process and data management (SPDM) software product that provides solutions for engineers who are challenged with managing the vast amounts of data and best practices that are generated in simulation activities. ANSYS EKM 2.0 offers numerous enhancements that simplify and speedup work, especially for remote teams that hand off data to each other as part of collaborative design. By managing simulation data and processes using ANSYS EKM technology, companies can more effectively leverage the full power of simulation and capture the expertise of analysts and engineers who contribute to the process. The ultimate result is shortened time to market and safeguarding of intellectual property.

ANSYS EKM software is a web-based solution with an easy-to-use and intuitive user interface. Capabilities range from simple archival and management of simulation data to process automation and capture and deployment of best practices, version control and branching, audit traceability and dependency mapping, advanced search and retrieval, report generation and simulation comparison and extensive customization. Release 2.0 enhancements allow for smarter and faster file transfer between remote locations and allow simulation jobs to be run remotely using job submission systems such as RSM, LSF, SGE and compute clusters. ANSYS EKM Studio is a new graphical editor that enables engineers to quickly and easily define simulation workflows that can be used for dynamic engineering simulation collaboration. ANSYS EKM 2.0 also offers a new scripting interface that enables the creation and publication of custom application templates that can be accessed by users over the Internet.
